Who Are We
We are Thomas and Kwinten, 2 brothers from Ghent, Belgium.
It all started for us in the year 2016, with our first trip to Rwanda and Uganda to visit family with Rwandese roots.
Even though we already traveled quite a lot around the world, this trip was different. The beauty of these countries and its people, and the fact that you can travel around completely safe, really overwhelmed us.
It was unique. It was magical.
We immediately decided to book a new trip to Rwanda and Uganda the next year, and it was during this second trip that our mission became clear for us: We want everyone in the world to see the beauty of these countries.
Or at least make sure that people are aware that this are hidden gems that are worth discovering.
When we came back to Belgium, we founded the travel agency AfriGuideMe, and actively started to promote and organize trips to Rwanda and Uganda.
One of the trips we organized was a group tour in the year 2018 for our friends and family in which we participated ourselves. We were mainly guided by Lillian, and we were blown away by her professional approach, reliability, and enthusiasm. It also became clear that we shared the same values in the way we want to organize travel. Not in a superficial way, but in a way that you really get to know the countries and the people. And all this in a sustainable way with a lot of respect for the local people and communities.
Together with Lillian, we founded Responsibility Travel Africa.
