Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Jambo (Welcome) to Kenya

Your adventure has begun! Receive a warm welcome from your host family as they greet you right outside the airport doors. Head to your Nairobi homestay to settle in and relax before a delicious home-cooked dinner.

Day 2: Hiking Mount Kenya

You will be picked up at 7 am from your place of residence in Nairobi and head for a drive via chogoria park gate lunch is on the way. After checking in the cabins proceed via waterfall and calves and an incredible gorge. Later back for dinner and overnight chogoria cabins.

Day 3: Descending

After morning breakfast we will proceed via Lake Ellis for fishing later have lunch around 2 pm back to the camp meet our 4wheel drive via Bamboo forest spent the night in chogoria town or back to Nairobi. In chogoria we can pass through tea farms and coffee farms to know much about them.

Day 4: Maasai Tribal Village

After breakfast, spend the entire day off the beaten path immersed in a Maasai Tribal Village to experience firsthand their rich and fascinating lives. The Maasai culture is one of the most recognized and famous tribes throughout Africa. Known for their traditional cow dung mud huts, drinking cow’s blood, dressing in colorful tribal clothing, high jumping skills, and living only amongst their own kind in remote areas; you will find yourself captivated every moment of this enriching experience.

Return to your homestay for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Baby Elephant Orphanage / Giraffe Sanctuary / Homestay

Wake up to breakfast and visit the baby elephant orphanage, known as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a project which rehabilitates these young elephants while educating the public on its conservancy, allowing guests to get up close to see and feel these magnificent animals. Then visit the renowned Giraffe Centre, a local non-profit organization created for the protection of the highly endangered Rothschild Giraffe. An amazing experience offered to learn about the conservation requirements as well as the opportunity to obverse and feed these elegant animals. After lunch, head back to your homestay to spend the late afternoon and evening with your host family.

Day 6: Hike Ngong Hills

After breakfast, trek through the Ngong Forest Reserve on a hiking tour from Nairobi into the scenic Ngong Hills. You’ll set out on a trail that crosses each of the reserve’s seven hills, with the option to summit three or tackle the entire series, enjoying views of the Great Rift Valley and the Nairobi skyline as you hike.

Head to your homestay for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Flight to Mombasa Coast / Fort Jesus / Old Town City Tour

Have an early morning breakfast and take a quick flight to the beautiful coast of Mombasa. Upon arrival, tour some of Mombasa’s celebrated landmarks; Moi Avenue (known for its giant elephant tusk monument) and Fort Jesus (a colonial fort built in the 1500s during the East African slave trade era). Stroll through the streets of the multi-cultural Old Town of Mombasa while you stop for a delicious lunch right on the water.

After lunch, explore the vibrancy of the local street markets and their amazing handcrafted goods.  Head to your beachfront resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Hike Shimba Hills

Visit a coastal forest that’s home to sable antelope, more than 100 species of birds, and a remarkable number of elephants on a full-day excursion to Shimba Hills National Reserve. You’ll watch for wildlife on a morning game drive, then set out on foot for a hike to Shedrick Falls, where a refreshing dip in the waterfall and breathtaking scenery await. Lunch at Shimba Hills lodge.

Day 9: Relaxing Day

Enjoy a relaxing day spent by the pool or on the silky white sandy beaches at your beachfront resort.

Extra beach or water activities can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 10: Indigenous Mijikenda village in the Sacred Kaya Forest

After a delightful breakfast, take off to discover the Indigenous Mijikenda Tribe who live within the Sacred Mijikenda Kaya Forest. Experience the cherished culture of the Mijikenda and learn about their unique customs of natural remedies, agriculture, traditional ceremonies, familial heritage, holy blessings, and much more. A rare and enchanting full-day experience that will leave you speechless. Return to your beachfront resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Depart for Nairobi

Enjoy breakfast and depart for a flight back to Nairobi to catch your connecting flight back home.
